We have also the Custom House Museum where the Art and Historical Society show early Key West, or the Little White House, Harry S. Truman's home away from home. We also have a couple of lookout rustic forts East and West Martello, both located on the southern side of the island, each equally charming, West Martello was taken over by the Key West Garden Club, and has the most beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and White Street Pier from its Gazebo. One of the islands favorites is the Key West Butterfly Conservatory, our own little magic, this particular location, which melts your stress away, as you walk among the many different varieties of butterflies, you'll want to visit the gift shop to take a little bit of that magic home with you! But the day doesn't stop there, make your way down to Mallory Square along with everyone else for Sunset Celebration, which happens every evening, where your entertained by Key West best street performers.
There is much to do out on the water! Why not go on an adventure on a sailboat, or plan a deep sea fishing charter in our pure clean ocean waters? Want to plan a romantic sunset sail, there are many sailboats and party catamarans that go out every day 2 hours prior to chase the sun down. There are many ways to get to Key West whether your favorite is Car: its such a nice drive down the Florida Keys, visit one of the many state parks along the way, starting in Key Largo with the John Pennekamp Coral Reef, but there are other state parks along the way, namely the Windley Key Fossil Reef, Long Key, Bahia Honda, and also Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. We have also the Sand Key Reef here in Key West and not far from us the the Dry Tortugas National Park, where Fort Jefferson is, this is a great day trip! While traveling the Florida Keys, stop over in Big Pine Key and look for those Key Deer. If you want to fly to the island, we have an airport, the Key West International Airport, or if on a Cruise Ship these dock daily here we have 3 docks here on the island! Or if in the Fort Myers Florida area, plan a trip on the Key West Express Ferry.
