Bridal Shoes and Sandals - Comfortable, Stylish Footwear for the Most Special Day of Your Life

By Inigo Chapman

A bride always looks sophisticated in her wedding gown. The whole outfit allows you to stand out. Your friends and relatives will stand in wonderment when you show up appearing as classy as you possibly can in your own wedding garb.

This is the popular idea. The truth is, it is not easy to walk in a wedding gown, particularly if the dress features a long trail or veil that actually meets and pulls on the floor. Not being able to walk properly and with grace in your gown makes you look uncomfortable and shy. The bride to be tripping down the aisle is what you wouldn't want taking place at your own wedding.

You need to appear like your gown is a second skin. Suggestions so you will not trip while marching down the aisle.

1. Make sure that you get a gown that allows trains to be bunched up to get you out of harm's way. This will enable you to walk safely down the aisle. Get a dress, shorter in length or a gown with a train that you can remove.

2. Have your gown hemmed at least a half inch from the floor. This provides you ease and comfort walking in your gown. With the hem of your dress off the ground at least a half inch, walking should be a cinch. There are lesser chances of your garment getting soiled as it is at least a half inch off the ground.

3. It is a good idea to bring along your wedding shoes when you go try your dress on. Your wedding shoes will help assess how long the hem of your gown should fall.

4. Don't wear high-heeled shoes simply because such shoes are believed to be elegant and sexy. Shoes with high heels should be worn in comfort. Make comfort a deciding factor when shopping for wedding shoes before style. Break in those high heels prior to the actual wedding day and practice walking in them.

5. Maintain your posture and bearing while in your wedding gown. Your posture will help with how your gown falls and flows as you glide down the aisle. Furthermore, walking in good postures helps you achieve the look of elegance and confidence. Thus, walk with your chin up while maintaining a good posture.

6. Practice wearing your wedding bridal shoes at home long before the big day. Walking in them beforehand gives your feet to get accustomed to your shoes, lowering the risk of getting blisters on the big day. Wearing your gown while practice walking in your shoes will help you get more comfortable during the big day.

7. Practice holding the sides of your dress up, more so when ascending a flight of stairs. This way, there are lesser chances of you falling and tripping on your gown.

You are now well prepared to walk down that aisle.
