Stress Free Weddings

By Lori Buenavista

The event of your wedding is finally coming! You've wished for this day since you were a little girl and you've put in 1 year preparing for this...the most significant day of your existence. You want every little thing to be perfect. Some ladies spend the last few days before their wedding ceremonies worrying over every last aspect. By the day of the wedding ceremony, they're consumed with stress, worn out and moody. Here are six guidelines to keep your wedding ceremony calm and stress free.

The Days Prior to the Wedding event

The moment you've carried out all the planning and made all the preparations, you can delegate the final confirmations to anyone else. The final thing you have to be doing on the day prior to your wedding day is calling the flower designer, food caterer, minister, etc. Allow your wedding coordinator do this for you-if any little issues show up, she can look after them.

Focus on another person.

You've spent the last several months centering on yourself-your flower arrangements, your outfit, your physical appearance, etc. You wish to look perfect for your day... but that puts plenty of stress on you. Get your mind off your wedding for a couple of days and focus on others. Bring your nieces and nephews to the park and swing on the swings, spend time with your grandmother, or volunteer in your neighborhood.

Have pleasure in a pampering day.

The moment before the wedding, everyone's tensions are great. Bring your bridal party ladies out for a great day of indulging: massage therapy, manicures, pedicures and facials.

The Time of the Wedding Party

Forget about your anticipations. Relax and let your entire anticipations go. The fact is that sometimes, silly things happen. The flowers are delayed, the cake is the incorrect flavor, the flower girl gets the stomach flu. Let it all go-today is the moment you get to marry the man you care about. You want to recall your big day as a day of love... not a time when you wasted thirty minutes screaming at the floral designer.

Employ a professional person do your hair and makeup.

If you've ever had a poor hair day on a day whenever you wanted to look fantastic, you are aware that today is a good day to have someone else fix your own hair. Find a professional ahead of time and go over what you would like so there aren't any surprises. Then on your special day, settle into a chair, relax and let someone else allow you to be stunning.

Have a minute to be alone.

As you become dressed up, everybody is fussing around you and seriously getting themselves dressed and prepared. Give yourself a few moments before the marriage ceremony to sit quietly alone. Look for a quiet spot, close your eyes and concentrate on breathing. Your pulse rate and blood pressure level will greatly reduce and you'll feel much less stressed out. At this point you're prepared to say, "I Do!"
