We may be biased, but in our opinion, New York City is most likely the best dressed capital of the world. Proving just that, a sea of shoppers flooded the streets and stores of our fair city, supporting the fashion industry by the tens of thousands on Thursday evening and celebrating in impeccable style during this year's Fashion's Night Out. Whether decked out in the official FNO T-shirt or dressed up in honor of their favorite designers, these men and women did the almost impossible-they stood out from the crowd.
The Louboutin clutch definitely wins on color and material, but I think I prefer the structure of the MaxMara bag better.Speaking of Teresa, we joined her to visit the photo shoot for her second cookbook, "Fabulicious," during which she mispronounced both "ingredients" and "cumin," to the surprise of absolutely no one.I am feeling the RZ vibe with the leopard coat, large shades, black skinny jeans, and Louboutin shoes.
What makes the Lacroix pursuit so intriguing is that it extends to the sort of girl who might normally choose a darker look. She may like her Balmain and Givenchy (interesting that both houses were more romantic historically)-but she still sees something in the whimsy of Lacroix. Look to the beige-and-periwinkle tulle dress Ashley Olsen chose for a London event in February (Mary-Kate wore silver lace Christian Lacroix Couture to the Met Ball last year) or Diane Kruger's fuchsia column at this year's Golden Globes.
Dinner took place at monochromatic white table settings, each of which included a set of Mykita-made reflective orange sunglasses that, when paired with the white Moncler knee-length sleeveless down coats draped over several seats for revelers to keep warm, created a look straight out of Blade Runner. Harry and Peter Brant fashioned their coats into capes for a Polaroid photo shoot with Bianca Brandolini; Allison Sarofim looked every bit the space-age monk with her hood flipped firmly up, while Vogue's Hamish Bowles suggested that the coats would one day look "so chic over black tie" as he greeted Richard Phillips, who was clad, naturally, in Moncler.
Buy the Christian Louboutin through Net-a-Porter for $995, or the MaxMara through Matches UK for $486.Earlier this week we popped into the Diane von Furstenberg showroom to see all of the amazing accessories arriving soon (we have a huge spring look for you all coming tomorrow). But this design goes even a bit further than that; the Christian Louboutin Pigalle Clutch takes what should be a novelty and elevates the sophistication level to make this clutch something truly impressive.
Rodriguez may best explain the sentiments behind the silent wedding-dress quest. "Lacroix's clothes are so magical, feminine, and otherworldly," she says. "Everything Lacroix does is about absolute beauty, color, and joy."
