Finding a Perfect Venue in Las Vegas

By Hedrick Lepsch

There are many people that picture Las Vegas weddings as a drunken decision that the bride and groom will never remember. Contrary to popular belief, there are many Las Vegas weddings that are well planned and well executed.

When you know that you want to get married in Vegas, you can take time planning to ensure that you are going to have the wedding that you know you will want. Being happy with your wedding when you look back at it is an important part of the marriage process.

Decide between indoor and outdoor. An outdoor wedding reception is going to be a very different environment from an indoor. Outdoor receptions are usually decorated with beautiful plants and gardens and you should therefore begin looking for nice places around Las Vegas that incorporate these elements. Check out availability in places like Lake Las Vegas.

There you could rent out a beautiful lawn that you could set up a few tables and decorations on. When deciding on an outside venue, consider very carefully the intense heat that accompanies a summer wedding. Despite a beautiful the location, you will be miserable wearing a wedding dress for three hours in the heat. An indoor location might be more preferable for you.

There will be some reception centers that are built to accommodate a lot of people. There will be other reception centers that are built for more intimate parties and you want to find something that fits the amount of people that you and your fiance want at your reception.

After you have cut down your list according to the size of the venue that you will need, you will then want to start looking at pictures of each of the venues. There are many classic wedding venues in Vegas but there are also a wide variety of eclectic venues.

As you are developing your plan for the reception, do not be afraid to walk away from a venue because it is too expensive. While you are deciding between different venues, take your time to compare the pros and the cons of the venues.

Sometimes, you may find that something is booked while you are taking time to decide. That is okay if something is booked but you should take the time that you need to know that you are excited about the venue that you have booked.

Most of the time they spend at your reception will be at the food bar, or the table eating the things they got at the snack bar. Make sure to take care of them with quality food. Choose it carefully and then find the best venue that will support your catering needs. If you want to bring in your own food, make sure that's an option.

If you want them to cater, make sure you like their food before you make your guests eat it. The rest is up to your creative imagination.

A wedding reception is a great way to celebrate your big day with your friends, family and loved ones. Do not procrastinate the decision making process for your big day and take your time preparing to ensure you are celebrating your wedding exactly how you always envisioned celebrating it.
